Did you know that climate change is about more than polar bears, spotted owls, and other endangered animals? It’s about real people, real lives, and real human impact. Check out our Polar Opposites video to learn more about what else – beside our cute arctic friends – there is at stake.
Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our generation. It’s not just a problem – it’s a crisis. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, we have less than 12 years to drastically reduce our carbon emissions and work toward a clean energy future. Progress has been slow, but don’t feel powerless. There is a growing youth movement that recognizes climate change as an urgent issue of health, justice, and security. As a young person, you have everything to do with the solution!
Now is the time to hold businesses and government accountable, turn our college campuses and communities into examples of sustainable living, and jump-start a cultural shift with sustainability at its core.
