Conversations with Daschle: Charlie Cook on the Midterm Elections and the Issues Facing The Country
On Wednesday, October 18, Campus Progress and the Center for American Progress hosted another program in our “Conversations with Daschle” series. Tom Daschle, former Senate Majority Leader, and his special guest, Charlie Cook, publisher of The Cook Political Report, engaged in a nonpartisan discussion of the upcoming midterm elections, the policy issues up for grabs, and the public mood.
Co-sponsored by the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, the event was held at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., and broadcast live over the internet. Senator Daschle and Mr. Cook answered questions both from our live audience and from viewers across the world via e-mail.
