Campus Progress Partners with Let’s Raise a Million to Reduce Energy Costs in Greensboro, NC
On Monday, January 17, Campus Progress and local nonprofit organizations, in partnership with the Let's Raise a Million Project, worked in the Greensboro neighborhood of Warnersville to install free compact fluorescent light bulbs for residents.
Approximately 200 local university students and volunteers traveled door-to-door to more than 120 homes to provide helpful information on the benefits of upgrading and properly disposing of blubs.
Preliminary reports show that the project saved the Warnersville community roughly $40,000 in energy costs.
Volunteers had a great time giving back to their community.
