Power Shift 2011 Makes a Statement in DC
Over the weekend, 10,000 young climate activists convened in Washington, DC for Power Shift 2011. They heard from dynamic speakers like Al Gore, Bill McKibben and Van Jones, participated in workshops, panel discussions, an Art Fair sponsored by Campus Progress, and much, much more. And yesterday, thousands of Power Shift attendees took it to the streets, protesting dirty energy outside of the Washington, DC office of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Campus Progress was proud to be a sponsor of the conference – and to be part of the energetic and inspiring group of young people rallying for action on climate change. You know that if Glenn Beck is calling you a radical, you must be doing something right!
