Campus Progress Director David Halperin speaks to a packed room of Big Ten students who were invited to the Center for American Progress last week to hear about the career trajectories of successful Washingtonians.

Last week, student government leaders at the Big Ten schools were invited to the Center for American Progress to network and hear about the career trajectories of successful Washingtonians. Capping off a week of advocacy for higher education, the reception provided insight into job prospects post-graduation and tips on what can make them stand out in today’s increasingly competitive job market.

Students heard from the Center for American Progress’ Chief Operating Officer, Neera Tanden, the Director of Campus Progress and Senior Vice President of the Center for American Progress, David Halperin, and the Campus Progress Events Manager and recent college graduate, Paula-Raye O’Sullivan. After a moderated discussion, students had the opportunity to mingle with Campus Progress staff members to get a better understanding of what Campus Progress is all about. The students were excited to talk to the staff about what they do and what it is like to work in the fast-paced world of Washington, D.C.
