Maria Teresa Petersen

Maria Teresa currently serves as Executive Director for Voto Latino, the only national civic education organization targeting Latino-American youth. Working with media partners such as MTV Networks, Voto Latino reached over 55 million young people through its voter PSA campaigns last year. Named one of the top 60 Latina women in Government & Politics across the US by Hispanic Magazine, Maria Teresa brings ten years of experience in government, business and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, Ms. Petersen has provided strategic advice on issues that intersect government and business to leading firms, nonprofits and government agencies including AT&T, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, the National Latino Council on Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention (LCAT), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
