"Brick by Brick" Film Screening and Discussion at the University of Chicago

Campus Progress and the University of Chicago Organization of Black Students celebrates over 40 years of Black Youth Activism on campus and across the country with “Brick by Brick.” A one-hour documentary about a contemporary American battle for civil rights. It follows three families in Yonkers, New York, in the midst of a bitter confrontation about the social realities, politics and law of racial discrimination in their housing policies and schools. William Kavanagh, the director of the film, will lead a discussion following the screening with Bernie Kleina, the executive director of the HOPE Fair Housing Center.
