Yvonne Tran

Yvonne Tran is currently working as a youth organizer with Californians for Justice, a racial justice organization working on bringing educational equity on a local and statewide level. She is a recent graduate of UC Santa Barbara and majored in Asian American Studies. While in college she was involved with national and statewide advocacy and organizing for educational access with the United States Student Association and the University of California Student Association. She also has work on the national Asian American scene serving as the Advocacy Chair on the National Asian American Conference Board. On her own campus, she founded the only progressive political Asian Pacific Islander organization on campus called Students for a Progressive Asian American Movement. Yvonne also worked in various other organizations on campus and within student government to ensure that issues of race, gender, queer, class, and access were addressed.
