Matt Comer is originally from Winston-Salem, N.C., but now lives and works in Charlotte. He is the editor of QNotes, the Carolinas' LGBT print and online publication, and has written news and commentary as both a freelancer and blogger/citizen journalist. In his free time he works with local grassroots activists on LGBT and other progressive issues.
