Courtney Young
Courtney Young is a Manhattan-based popular culture and political writer. She is especially interested in issues of religion, race, gender, color, and sex within popular culture. She received her B.A in English with a minor in Management from Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga., in 2002. She got my M.A. degree in 2004 from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She's written for publications such as The Grio, The Nation, the Huffington Post, Popmatters, and Ms. Magazine.
