Trail of DREAMs to Meet with Arpaio
The Trail of DREAMs—a group of three current and one former undocumented students—announced at a press conference in Phoenix, Arizona today that they will be attempting to meet with Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County’s notoriously anti-immigrant sheriff. The students attempted a similar meeting with an anti-immigrant sheriff in Gwinnett County, Georgia while walking from Miami to Washington, DC this Spring to call on President Obama to stop the deportation of students that would be eligible for the DREAM Act, as well as the separation of families.
