NH Senate Upholds Governor’s Veto of Voter ID Legislation
The New Hampshire State Senate voted 17-7 against overriding Governor Lynch’s veto of the state’s proposed Voter ID legislation, SB 129. Voter ID legislation makes it harder for young people, people of color, low-income people, the disabled, and older Americans to vote.
This war on voting has resulted in five states passing such legislation this cycle, despite the fact that a person is more likely to be struck by lightning than he or she is to vote by pretending to be someone else.
