National Keynote Contest Update: Deadline for Entries Extended until May 22!
By now, you should have heard about the awesome Keynote Contest that we’re running with our friends at Colorlines.com. The three grand prize winners will get a free trip to DC and have the chance to speak in front of a crowd of 1,000 of their peers at the 2011 Campus Progress National Conference. You can get all the other info you need on our contest page here.
Now, we know that the end of April and early May can be kinda crazy, what with the end of the school year approaching, allergies kicking in, the season finale of Glee, etc. So, because we love you, we have decided to extend the deadline for entering the contest by an additional 10 days until midnight on Sunday May 22! Now, you’ve got no excuses not to get your video in on time! But, if you still need a little inspiration, check out these videos of last year’s winners:
Jamira Burley delivered a rousing speech in support of programs against youth violence:
David Cho and his father drove from California to Washington so he could deliver his speech today. He spoke on the pressure he feels as an undocumented student in the United States:
Kevin Sanchez asked the audience to break the cycle of violence that leads many children from the "cradle to the cell." Visit www.youthpromiseaction.org for more information.
