  • Kermit, Miss Piggy Respond to Fox News’ Criticism Over ‘Muppets Movie’

Back in December, Fox News claimed—several times—that The Muppets movie was “brainwashing” children to think that oil tycoons were inherently evil, saying the furry puppets were spreading an “anti-corporate message” akin to “Communist China.”

This week, the Muppets struck back.

In a press conference following the film's premiere in England, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy shot back at Fox News’ Eric Bolling for calling the Muppets “dangerous” for American children.

“It’s almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of, uh, being news,” Miss Piggy quipped, adding: “If they take what I say seriously, they got a real big problem.”
