DREAM Activists Ignored Outside McCain’s Office, Reid Announces Upcoming Vote on Stand-Alone Bill
Today activists supporting the DREAM Act waited outside the office of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to talk to him about passing a law that would create a path to citizenship for undocumented minors. Gabby Pacheco, one of the activists that walked from Florida to Washington, D.C., earlier this year in support of the DREAM Act, was one of the activists outside McCain's office today. Her Twitter feed from the last hour is posted below. Just today, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced that he was going to introduce the DREAM Act as a stand-alone bill in the Senate.
