Diane Sawyer’s Powerful Interview with an Arizona DREAMer
ABC just released a video interview with Diane Sawyer and Erika, an undocumented recent graduate of Arizona State University, and a student leader in the movement for the DREAM Act. They discuss the effect that SB 1070 is having on Erika’s community, and her struggle to reach for her DREAMs despite her status.
Earlier today, a federal judge blocked many of the most problematic parts of SB 1070 from coming into effect until the court could decide on the law’s constitutionality. It was scheduled to go into effect tomorrow.
